The Wedding Vendor Selection Process: How We Build Your Dream Team

Without an amazing, cohesive vendor team,  even the best-laid plans can fall flat. We treat the vendor selection process with as much care and attention to detail as you do when you’re deciding on your dress: Our process is highly personal and reflective of your style. Below, a peek at how we employ two decades of industry knowledge (and a deep rolodex of professionals) to scout the best in the business for your wedding day.

Where We Start

At Rebecca Rose Events, we begin sourcing vendors early in the planning process, but not before we meet with our couples to establish a comprehensive budget, zero in on a venue or destination and spend some time with you and your spouse-to-be to decipher your priorities, preferences and personalities. If you love the look of medium format film photography, for example, we’ll focus on finding the best film photographers, instead of photographers that work only with digital cameras. If you have a background in stage production, we understand that you may be especially attuned to lighting or entertainment throughout the event. Even the smallest details inform how we search for vendor candidates.

What We Consider

By hand-picking options for more than just pure talent, we ensure that any vendor you consider is not only amazing at what they do, but also aligned with what matters to you most. We think of vendors as crucial pieces to the wedding puzzle: Each one needs to work well with the others involved in bringing the overall vision to life. With a strong team in place, we can troubleshoot, adapt, adjust and correct any surprises with ease, and without distracting you on your wedding weekend. Ultimately, we’ll all collaborate to make the weekend flow seamlessly.

Where potential vendors are geographically based is another consideration, but their location is less of a limiting factor than you may imagine. We can find amazing vendors in nearby cities or opposite coasts: It’s a matter of bringing the best-in-class options that are aligned with your aesthetic. Of course, budget comes into play, too. We work diligently to find realistic options for your budget, whether it’s an intimate wedding with a small guest list or a large event with a budget to match. We’ll make sure the vendors’ fees are proportional to your wedding’s scale and spend.

The Selection Process

Our approach to planning and design is heavily rooted in research, so that no matter where our work takes us, we can always find, vet, and curate an exceptional team of vendor partners. No two wedding celebrations are ever the same, so we approach the vendor selection process with fresh eyes each time, rather than matching you with vendors from a predetermined list of businesses we’ve worked with before.

We constantly scout new vendors on social media, through editorial channels and by conversing with industry colleagues. Once we’ve whittled down a list of the best professionals for your style, budget and personalities, we’ll likely share a list of one to three vendor options, tops, for each facet of the wedding. (And don’t worry, we’ve considered far more than that!) We’ll help guide you in the selection process so you hire the best team possible.

After you’ve made your final selections, we take care of the rest. We handle *all* the logistics to orchestrate an exceptional wedding experience.
