RRE on the Tea with Jaine Podcast | Balancing Aesthetics and Logistics for Weddings

We recently joined NYC based wedding photographer, Jainé Kershner, on her podcast, Tea With Jainé, to discuss how to fine tune the design process while balancing aesthetics and logistics. The intersection between the two; design and logistics, holds a special place in our hearts, as it is what allowed us to initially join forces and create Rebecca Rose Events.  Like any good team, we know our strengths; Betsy spearheads the complex logistics involved in planning, orchestrating, and executing a luxury wedding, and Becca creates the comprehensive design plan that will weave thoughtful, personalized details and a full sensory experience into the overall guest experience. Together with our talented team of designers and logistics experts, we effortlessly marry the two processes, and this is what sets all of our weddings apart from one another.

At RRE, we are committed to personalizing each wedding so that no two look or  feel the same. We never adhere to a particular formula or sacrifice functionality for beauty (and vice versa). And although we both have unique areas of expertise, we work on every single wedding and every single project together, ensuring that our vision stays in sync.

In addition to discussing the importance of fine tuning our design process, we chatted about exactly how we work together as a duo, as well as with our clients. From initial conversations about their recent travels or personal interests, to really fun in-studio (or virtual!) creative sessions, we use all of our insight to put forth an extremely comprehensive design plan. We want our couples to have total peace knowing all of the details (both, logistical and design) are accounted for. The overall design we present to clients is every bit grounded in research as it is in raw creativity.

We also ensure that all of the “behind the scenes” elements and small details are taken care of.  Ironing wrinkles out of  linens, timing the food runners  and properly lighting candles (our biggest pet peeve is black smoke) are just some of the unnoticed details  that we train our fellow team members on.

Planning a wedding soon? Interested in learning more about what we do specifically at Rebecca Rose Events and our tailor-made process behind marrying design with logistics? Listen to the podcast here. Thanks for having us, Jainé!
