Nicole's Farewell

Hi everyone! 

It is with a heavy heart in this very bittersweet moment that I write this final blog post. Today will be my final day with Rebecca Rose Events as I have decided to move back home to Houston, Texas to continue my career path in the hospitality industry with the St. Regis Hotel. 

I can't tell you have much of a honor it has been to work for Rebecca Rose Events and Rebecca Rose Creative this past year. Each passing day presented a new and exciting project that we always faced with a “can do” attitude and a smile. Though my time in Winston-Salem was short, it was so well lived. Coming to a brand new city, knowing nobody, and working out of a home office was a large challenge in itself, but I can honestly tell you it was the best decision I have ever made. I personally grew up in so many ways and learned so much about not only myself but about this wonderful industry. 

To our clients, past and present, thank you so very much for letting me be a small part of your special event. It means the absolute world to me to have been able to be a participating effort in your planning and execution through our many different projects!! To our vendors, creative sources, and the industry friends made along the way - thank you all so much. Y'all have been a blessing to work with! To the friends I made along the way here in Winston, thank you for being my surrogate family. Y’all have included me in your lives and I am forever grateful. 

Lastly, to Betsy, Jack, Becca, Jarrod, Fred, Pickles, and Muggsy - thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for opening your lives and homes to me this past year. You are all so special to me in so many different ways, that I can't even begin to describe in words... Or else I might just cry (even though I might already be teary eyed as I write this…) 

I will miss RRE and Winston-Salem so much, and I can't wait to visit again one day.
