Destination Weddings: A Wish List

Twickenham-Archetype-16420012-2-Edit.jpg

As a destination wedding designer, I am constantly dreaming about faraway places and spaces. Over the past several years, we've had some incredibly opportunities to produce destination weddings in some pretty exciting places from coast to coast (including Lake Tahoe and New York City!) Each time, there's something so exhilarating about the process of meeting new clients, getting to know them and learning their story, seeking out a location that will best serve our efforts to bring their story to life through celebration, and then intentionally curating a vision and executing a design plan crafted through that vision.

As any good dreamer does, I keep a running little wish list of destinations and venues where I would love for us to have the chance to work in the future. Some of them can hop off the wish list straight onto the list of goals... and hey... goals are more likely to be reached if you write them down, right?!

So here are my top 10 selections from that list (in no particular order):

1.) Tuscany

2.) Ireland

3.) Provence

4.) Big Sur

5.) Aspen

6.) Napa

7.) Lake Tahoe (yep - we're worked here before (note the images above by Koby Brown) - but I'm dying to go back!)

8.) Hawaii - Maui or Kauai

9.) Martha's Vineyard

10.) Charleston (also - not a new destination and we're down there quite a bit, but I feel it tugging at my heartstrings again.)

And there you have it. A list that probably seems completely random, and yet it makes me giddy thinking about it. Give me coastal beaches, mountain views, or sprawling vineyards and interesting cuisine, and I'll take care of all the rest.

Who's ready for a little travel adventure? *Raises hand.

Til next time!
