A Southern Bridal Luncheon in Virginia
This past April we had the joy of working with Lauren and Emanuel on their incredible wedding weekend of celebrations in Virginia Beach. More on their wedding later (though you can see a sneak peek here in our portfolio!) but today we're sharing a few pretty pics from Lauren's bridal luncheon.
This sweet little ladies luncheon was such a special way to kick off an entire weekend of parties. When our sweet bride told us she was inviting her nearest and dearest to celebrate the women in her life and asked us to help design a pretty daytime fete, we could hardly do anything but jump at the chance!
Anyone who knows Lauren knows that she loves details inspired by the style of Marie Antoinette. Admittedly, it's not easy to bring the extravagance of Versailles into a daytime luncheon at a southern restaurant in Virginia, so we decided to keep things a bit more contemporary. The color palette and floral details are loosely inspired by French gardens.
I loved the softness of all these pastel blooms. We used ranunculus, peonies, sweet pea, garden roses, lilac, and pieris. The delicate white porcelain vases were so delightfully perfect.
Our cocktail napkins displayed Lauren's favorite Marie Antoinette quote, "Let them eat cake!" Each guest received a box containing Lauren's favorite petit fours.
It was such a lovely afternoon and a joy for us to be a small part of it all!
