In Memory of Our Friend, Leigh Pearce
“Style isn’t just about what you wear, it’s about how you live.”
Today the RRE team is joining with others from our local community to celebrate the life of our dear wedding industry friend, Leigh Pearce. On August 10th, we lost our friend, our colleague and our fellow lover of a good ole’ party. It’s all been so tough to process and we haven’t quite found the words to express our grief. We are so deeply saddened that she left this world tragically and far too early.
Leigh cared so genuinely for others and inspired many. Our hearts ache knowing she’s no longer here with us. When Becca first moved back to North Carolina seven years ago and founded RRE, Leigh was one of the first people she met. Leigh’s friendship has been a pillar in Rebecca Rose Events since the very beginning. When I joined Becca as a business partner, Leigh welcomed me too with open arms and a big hug. Leigh supported our business; she cheered for us and was the first to congratulate us on milestones. The feeling was mutual and sentiments equally shared. From our catch-up drinks, phone calls, to the social media cheers and emails, we are sure going to miss her!

To help support her family, a GoFundMe campaign has been set up. Leigh’s family may choose to use these funds however they wish, (e.g. to help cover service arrangements, medical expenses, or help handle costs for her business.) Whatever their needs, we hope that together as a powerful and loving community, we can show up to bless this family that is hurting so much, and honor her for the spirited, vibrant force that Leigh has been in so many people's lives.
