Baby No More | Piper Rose turns 1!

This day. Oh my goodness, this day. 

This morning she turned one and she's no longer a baby, but a toddler. It was hard to really grasp the meaning of the adage, "the days are long, but the years are short," until I became a parent. But now - I get it. I've been remembering her birth story almost minute-by-minute over the last 48 hours. How it felt to be checking into the hospital for induction. How it felt to be writhing in pain on the bed - wanting it to end, but knowing it was so worth it. How it felt to be told we had to have an emergency c-section. How it felt to hear her perfect little cry. How it felt to hold her for the very first time. How it felt to see my husband hold his new daughter.  Indescribable joy.

I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams, and so thankful to all of you, our friends, family, clients, industry partners, who have helped us through this last year in more ways than you know. The days really are long, but the years really are short.
