Bigger Isn't Always Better | Intimate Weddings

I'm keeping this post short and sweet today and letting these images speak the volumes they were meant to...

If you're struggling with the decision about how many people you want to invite to your wedding, never feel pressured to add anyone and everyone. Some of the most beautiful celebrations involve no more than a couple's family members.

The decision to have an elopement or small, intimate wedding may be just the thing that allows you to craft the most perfect day imaginable. Erika and Tom (pictured above) invited only twelve guests and hosted a stunning, intimate, candlelit dinner outside overlooking the Blue Ridge mountains in Virginia following their ceremony on the edge of the mountain.

Sara and Justin (pictured below - photography by Laura Gordon) kept their list small and treated everyone to the most beautiful little celebration in Asheville.

Truly... bigger isn't always better. If you're feeling overwhelmed by the thought of being the center of hundreds of people's attention, then let go of the anxiety and just keep things small. Small can be stunning and more importantly, it can be the most meaningful.
