How We Deck the Halls: Holiday Party Entertaining Tips from a Luxury Wedding Planning Firm

Cheers to fewer Zoom holiday parties and more elbows on the (real) table with your loved ones. If you’re ready to rock around the tree or light the Menorah, scroll below to see our top decor tips to make this holiday uniquely yours.

What’s Old is New Again

In an effort to approach the holidays with the spirit of sustainability and mindfulness, we plan to combine old and new decor items, as well as high and low for an easily attainable tabletop setting. This year, I’ll be pairing my grandmother’s silver and a few other treasured heirloom pieces with popular Target finds. Mixing items is an easy way to freshen up your looks from year to year by adding only smaller pieces that are new. Invest in staple pieces such as white china or a crystal gravy boat that you’ll use year over year and won’t handcuff you to a particular aesthetic.

Head to Your Backyard

There’s beauty all around us - so, go forage! Rather than relying heavily on your grocery store’s floral selection, see what you can find that’s fresh from your backyard or local farmer’s market, including natural items like pine cones or birch bark. Mix greens (leafy foliage) with browns (branches, dried grasses) with brights (berries) for a nice color dynamic!

Make it Personal

After such a long time spent apart, preparing an exceptional guest experience is our number one tip. One way to do so is make an effort to personalize the table for your guests. Adding place cards or individual thank you notes to each setting is an easy and inexpensive design tactic, but makes the world of a difference for your guests. Allow your time to be focused on tangible decor items that celebrate the reason for the season - togetherness.

We can’t wait to see how you holiday. Tag us in your tablescapes for a chance to be featured on the Rebecca Rose Events Instagram page.

Good tidings,

Becca + Betsy
