Erica & Will's Wedding at SECCA | Featured on Style Me Pretty

We're so delighted to finally share Erica and Will's gorgeous wedding from last fall!

The bride and groom chose to share their vows with closest family and friends. With a guest list right under 50 people, this intimate affair couldn't have been more perfect! Erica and Will said their vows right before sunset, against a backdrop of kudzu foliage. A solo guitarist played as Erica walked down the aisle with her dad. The couple's best friend performed the ceremony and shared stories that brought guests tears of laughter and joy.

The ceremony and reception were held at SECCA, the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art in Winston-Salem, North Carolina which held special significance as the bride taught art classes there before pursuing her art career in California with her fiancé.

The couple looked flawlessly comfortable surrounded by their close-knit group of family and friends. The groom wore a custom Brooks Brothers suit and the bride wore a swoon worthy gown by Rebecca Schoneveld. Together, the pair seemed perfectly carefree the entire evening.

Guests were seated to dinner at one long family-style table under a canopy of greenery and twinkling lights. Food and beverage was very important to both families. In a nod to the bride's mother's Colombian heritage, Will and Erica chose tapas style service for hors d'oeuvres and the first course. As an entrée, guests were served individual paella dishes with family style sides. For dessert, flourless lemon cake was served, the bride's grandmother's own recipe.

After the wine glasses were toasted under the glow of candles, the family put on their dancing shoes. The groom surprised his new family by kicking off the party with salsa dancing he had been practicing. From start to finish, the entire day was filled with intimate love and laughter that can only come from the closest of family and friends. What a joy to be a part of such a beautiful celebration!
