What to Expect from Rebecca Rose Events in 2021

Happy new year, friends! What an exciting thing that is to say… here we are in 2021, with all of the hope and optimism we can possibly muster. While we’re still in the thick of this pandemic, and we’re by no means pretending that things are back to normal, we do see a light at the end of the tunnel, and for that, we are grateful beyond measure.

Over the past several months since wrapping up the last of our 2020 weddings, we’ve been diving wholeheartedly into 2021 wedding prep, as well as setting goals and mapping out a roadmap for peak productivity and some exciting new endeavors for the coming year.

I can’t share everything just yet, but here are a few hints at what you can expect from us…

More destination weddings and more travel!

Oh, how we've missed air travel! In 2020, we produced destination weddings in Highlands, NC, Philadelphia, PA, and Annapolis, MD. Out of an abundance of caution, we drove everywhere, and avoided any unnecessary airplane travel through airport hubs. Say what you wish about pandemic travel safety, but know that we have placed the highest priority on the health and safety of our team and our clients, and since we had six back-to-back weeks of wedding production, we literally had no window for anyone on our team to be exposed or become sick, so we couldn’t chance it. We can’t wait to fly again (looking at you, Delta! We’ve missed you!)

In 2021, you’ll find us producing destination weddings in Missouri, New York, and across North Carolina in Asheville and Highlands - as well as a few here close to home in Winston-Salem, and Greensboro. If you know anything about our team, you know how much we love tent installations, destination wedding projects, and unique event design opportunities. 2021 is shaping up to be chock-full of all of these, and we couldn’t possibly be more excited about any of it.

Of course we’ll also have travel for advance site visits and planning meetings for upcoming 2022 weddings. Can’t wait! If you’re someone who loves to tag along vicariously, be sure to follow on Instagram, as we’ll continue to document our #rrebehindthescenes journies and adventures as we can.

More educational resources for our industry

Since 2019, when we proudly introduced our sister brand, RRE Method, we’ve been honored to host three educational workshops for wedding planners, launch four online courses, participate in numerous podcasts, webinars, and virtual learning platforms, and coach a variety of wedding industry professionals in one-on-one settings. We’ve already seen our coaching clients, workshop participants, and course students make tremendous strides in their businesses, and it’s the most wonderfully gratifying feeling in the world to know that our hard work to elevate our shared industry is truly making a difference in people’s lives and livelihoods. Though we’ll always enjoy healthy and friendly competition with other wedding planners and designers, we are fully and unapologetically committed to doing our part to give back to this industry and collectively raise the bar. Friends, we’re just getting started!

In 2021, we’ll be launching multiple new online courses, hosting the fourth Artful Wedding Production Workshop for Wedding Planners in February (snag a ticket here before it’s too late!), releasing additional free content and resources, and continuing to work with our wedding planners, designers, venue owners, photographers, and more through our coaching and mentorship programs.

A new website and new resources for engaged couples

Perhaps one of the most exciting developments on the horizon is our upcoming website upgrade with Kathryn at Creme Brands. Get ready for a beautiful new internet presence (coming at the end of February!) and a lot of new resources for engaged couples and families planning a wedding. We recognize that we’re not the right fit for every couple or family, as we offer a luxury wedding service rooted exclusively in a comprehensive approach to planning, design, and production. Our work is inclusive of in-house floral design, graphic design/print production, and so much more. If you’re a couple who is attempting to plan your wedding on your own and/or searching for a day-of coordinator or event management services, then we won’t be the team you should hire. That said, we’ll have a lot to offer you in the way of online resources, and guidance and we’re working hard to unveil quite a bit in 2021!

More original event design

One of the things that Betsy and I are most proud of, as we emerge from 2020, is the fact that we have managed to survive a year that was devastating to our industry, and keep our team intact. Not going to sugarcoat this or pretend we live in an alternate reality… it has been HARD. We have made sacrifices to do so. But here we are, still standing, and doing so proudly and with conviction that our work will be more meaningful, more beautiful, more interesting, wildly original, highly personalized, and stronger than ever, as we continue planning for our clients’ future weddings and social celebrations.

I’m not exaggerating. We’re stepping things up to a whole new level in 2021 and can’t wait to share it with you.

Thank you, friends, for your support of our small business. It means more to us than we can ever express, and we’re so humbled and grateful to be able to do this work that we love so much and bring joy to the families, couples, and other industry professionals that we serve.

Cheers to a new year!

Yours truly,

Becca
